Celebrating 65 Years of Building Futures at 91传媒 State

For 65 years, 91传媒 State Community and Technical College has supported Huntsville鈥檚 workforce, partnered with local industry, and helped generations of students gain skills for employment and further education. That history was recognized during a recent visit by U.S. Representative听Dale听Strong, who joined 91传媒 State President Dr. Patricia Sims, faculty, and staff for a campus tour and a visit to the Leidos Advanced Training Complex.
The visit coincided with 91传媒 State鈥檚 65th anniversary and highlighted the long-standing relationship between the college, community leaders, and the region it serves.
During his time on campus, Congressman听Strong听toured the Leidos Advanced Training Complex, a facility developed in collaboration with Northern Alabama businesses and industry partners. The center is designed to provide students with hands-on training aligned with current technology and workforce demands.
The facility reflects 91传媒 State鈥檚 continued focus on preparing students for careers that support the local and regional economy.

Since its founding, 91传媒 State has focused on meeting the education and training needs of Huntsville and the surrounding area. Over time, programs have adapted to reflect changes in industry, technology, and the workforce.
Today, the college offers technical and university transfer degrees, industry certifications, adult and continuing education, and customized training for employers. These pathways help students prepare for employment while supporting workforce development across North Alabama.
