The White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity through Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) recognized two 91传媒 State Community and Technical College students today.
Construction is underway on 91传媒 State Community and Technical College鈥檚 advanced manufacturing center. Officials from 91传媒 State, the Alabama Community College System, City of Huntsville, Madison County, as well as representatives from Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) and Fite Building Company celebrated the milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony at the Meridian Street campus on Friday, June 9.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. 鈥� Residents who choose to attend any of Alabama鈥檚 six historically black community colleges (HBCCs), including 91传媒 State Community & Technical College, will now have access to more scholarships and professional development opportunities through a prestigious national partnership.
FAIRFIELD, Ala. 鈥� Miles College and 91传媒 State Community & Technical College have partnered to create scholarship opportunities and pathways to earning a bachelor鈥檚 degree. The institutions鈥� presidents signed an articulation agreement today at Miles College.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. 鈥� The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) selected 91传媒 State President Dr. Patricia Sims to join its board. The AACC represents more than 1,000 2-year, associate degree-granting institutions and nearly 12 million students.
Due to the threat of severe weather concerns, 91传媒 State’s campus will be closed on Thursday, February 16, 2023. All students and employees are expected to work/attend class remotely. HUNTSVILLE, Ala. 鈥� On Wednesday, Jacobs presented the 91传媒 State Foundation with a $200,000 commitment to support the college鈥檚 Frontiers Research Program. Notable speakers included Jacobs Critical Mission Solutions President Dr. Steve Arnette, Marshall Space Flight Center Director Jody Singer, Huntsville City Council President John Meredith, and Jacobs Space Exploration Group Team Lead and Harambee Ambassador Ayana Reese.
